Article that created by Charmaine Brooks is about how to upgrade record management system in an organization and change poor Record Management. Other than that, the article is more about how Record Management operation in an organization. The problem statement in this article is records that has been created to support and to increase business productivity not be applied with Record Management System and become causes records be manage without classification, and record lifecycle. The methodology that has been used by author is by literature review. Records has been created day by day and it important to support business decision making and become as evidence. All the organizations need to applied record management in their organization and provide one proper record keeping handling all the records. IT, Record Management and Legal must represented on Governance Team. The team that responsible to handle the records must be knowledgeable about that organization and records that their handling. In this article they are have sub topic such as Record Management Framework, Information Technology Infrastructure, Lifecycle Management Rules and Record Management System. All these topics provide guideline in Record Management such as what infrastructure that needed, hardware, software, network or operating system that being used. Other than that, in this article meaning relating record management has been given. A critical component is the identification of the legal requirements for the record. The Record Manager must really understanding about the types of record such as primary, secondary and tertiary of record. Besides, they must know the purpose of the record has been created and their value for our organization. The standard in Record Management need to provide to ensure all records be manage in better way and attempt to manage record with varying degrees of success. In this article has been providing one Record Management framework that explained relating between legal counsel and record management in information technology. As findings in this article can be conclude all organization must applied Record Management to manage their records day by day. This is because record important for them and become evidence and guideline in making decision for the business. If organizations not apply Record Management System, it will be difficulty to staffs to run the business and tasks. Other than that, the risks to loss the records will exist and the organization will loss their business too. As point in this article, organization must provide specialist and schedule to manage the records and all business operation run smoothly.
